Getting your computer ready
On this page, we get your computer ready so that helpcomputing can begin to measure up your computer's level of security.
Security is important and you'll want to know that your computer is as well prepared as you can make it. Your computer needs to be as well protected as possible against attack by viruses and malware. You'll also want to know
that your computer is able to recover, should the worst happen.
Click the blue monitor screen icon below to get started.
When you click the monitor screen icon above, this will install software directly from helpcomputing. This software will allow helpcomputing to measure your
computer's security. You'll need to chose 'Run' when prompted.
Depending on the version of Windows that your computer runs you might need to again confirm that our software, based on software from Comodo Security Solutions, should run.
Depending on the speed of your computer and the speed of your Internet service, the installation might take some 4 minutes or so to complete. It all works in the background so you can continue to work.
Once done, you might notice that our software - helpcomputing Client - Communication has been installed. You can get to this software through your System Tray
(bottom right of your screen, where the clock is displayed).
An additional feature that you might find useful is the ability to log a call to helpcomputing. Just as you might log a call to an IT Department in a large company.
You can request our services in this way even if you don't have a contract with helpcomputing.
